Book your Easter break to the sun

Easter is almost on us, so if you haven’t yet decided where you want to go, here is a handful of great Mediterranean hotspots where you can be sure the welcome will be as warm as the weather. Book now on brusselsairlines.com – from €49.99 one-way, all-in

Barcelona: Take a stroll down Las Ramblas in the spring sunshine, stop off at Café Zurich where tourists and the city’s coolest hang out in equal measure, get lost in the winding maze of streets and alleys in the Barrio Gotic… Barcelona remains a city that’s sure to bring a smile, whether you’re visiting for the first time or revisiting old memories. The former Olympic city of 1990 is a veritable feast for the senses, and if you’re a foodie, the restaurants will ensure that you just don’t want to leave.

Naples: The city where every street-corner discussion has the potential to turn into a minor opera, Naples is nothing if not Mediterranean. When you’re there, make sure you grab one of the famous Neapolitan pizzas in the Via Santa Lucia. Vesuvius dominates the city, and although the last time it erupted was in 1944, its heavy presence is not to be underestimated – to see the crater, drive up part of the way and walk the rest to the top. A visit to Pompeii is also an absolute must – set aside at least half a day.

Seville: The biggest challenge in Seville is negotiating its labyrinthine streets, which stop and start in a seemingly total lack of logic. So don’t bother driving – getting around the city by foot is much more fun. Plus, if you’re going at Easter, being on foot is almost a pre-requisite, with all the holy processions of the Semana Santa – the annual ritual that one famous visitor referred to as ‘an intoxicating blend of the sacred and the profane’. Definitely, an Easter week holiday not to be missed.

Extra flights to key European destinations

Brussels Airlines is increasing its choice of weekday schedules
for key European destinations Budapest and Prague

Budapest

More and more city trippers are discovering the amazing cultural richness of the Hungarian capital, with its famous thermal baths and attractive hotel infrastructure. In fact, according to the Belgian Association of Tour operators ABTO, Budapest is one of the fastest growing city trip destinations. Plus, business traffic is also increasing exponentially on the route, as Hungary becomes more and more involved in the day to day workings of the EU institutions in Brussels, and the country’s economic infrastructure becomes more international.

To meet the demands of business and leisure travelers alike, from 19th February onwards Brussels Airlines will be offering both an early morning and late afternoon flight from Brussels, thus allowing for a very convenient evening return from Budapest.

The new flight schedule is convenient both for business travelers and for tourists who wish to spend a full day in Budapest or Brussels. Thanks to the increase of the flight frequency, as well as the use of our Boeing 737 aircraft, the seat offer is almost doubled.

Prague

Visitors to the other pearl of the Austro-Hungarian empire, Prague, can also look forward to increased weekday frequencies, thus making connections between the Czech capital and the Capital of Europe even easier. From 26th March onwards, Brussels Airlines will be putting on one extra roundtrip flight, conveniently scheduled to leave Brussels at the end of the morning, and return from Prague just after lunch. A response to passenger demand, this new schedule is perfect for business and leisure travellers alike.
