French affair
Paris’s favourite concept store and super-chic boutique, Colette, celebrates its 10th anniversary this month by collaborating with the world’s favourite apparel brand, Lacoste. Together with quirky French graphic design duo, Kuntzel + Deygas, Lacoste have produced 14 limited edition polo shirts and sneakers, embroidered with Colette’s favourite canine friends and mascots, Caperino & Peperone. The Lacoste mesh, high-top sneakers also boast different designs – one with the dogs chasing the crocodile and the other with the crocodile chasing the dogs. The inside of the sneakers and the laces are adorned with the message ‘Caperino & Peperone Love LACOSTE’, making them collectors’ items for any self-respecting sneaker or Lacoste fan.

Fashion’s darling
Christopher Kane is the buzzword on everyone’s lips. He’s the 24-year-old Scottish designer whose 90s-inspired neon micro-dresses have instigated a fashion frenzy. An award-winning graduate, whose final collection was sponsored by Donatella Versace, Kane made his debut last season and was quickly recognised as the hottest new talent around. His collection for Topshop launched in February and sold out in only three weeks. Unveiling his autumn/ winter collection earlier this year – a medley of rich crushed velvet and black leather dresses – it looks like his thigh-hugging creations will be the season’s must have. Christopher Kane is stocked in Browns (www.brownsfashion.com) in London and Corso Como (www.10corsocomo.com) in Milan.
Kate Moss turns to fragrance
Bewitchingly beautiful, with a social life to put even the most hardcore among us to shame, Kate Moss needs little introduction and is now set to widen her appeal. Joining the ranks of JLo, Sarah Jessica Parker and Britney Spears, Kate has signed a deal with perfume house Coty to launch her own fragrance. Promising smoky rose undertones and a vintage English essence, it is set to capture the two sides of the supermodel, both good and bad.
The fragrance line, which has yet to be named, will include eau de toilette, eau de perfume and ancillary products, and will be launched in Europe this autumn.
