Puma Mongolian shoe BBQ

Good news for sneaker freaks. Arising from the Far East custom of personalised meals with a medley of ingredients, Puma has introduced the Puma Mongolian BBQ. Simply pick from a generous assortment of materials and colour-ways to design your own custom-made trainer. Puma’s in-store customisation experience was introduced in 2005, but this newly improved version is now available online, with Puma’s 80s running shoe, the RS-100, to play with. With the choice of fabrics, colours and textures updated every six months, and the instant gratification of seeing what your trainer looks like before you buy, log in and get designing. www.mongolianshoebbq.puma.com

WILHELM’S WORLD

Bernhard Wilhelm’s dazzling approach to fashion design has earned him a reputation as the darling of the German fashion scene. Graduating from Antwerp Academy in 1998, his love of bright colour and patterns has been seen on everything from toys to computer games. In 2006 Bernhard decided to donate his entire apparel collection to the Antwerp Fashion Museum: a gesture that instigated the retrospective exhibition, ‘Bernhard Wilhelm: Hat Total Rappel’ (until 28 January 2008). With each collection presented in a different décor, discover Bernhard’s rainbow world.

BIKINIS DON’T CUT IT

Forget the bikini, exotic one-piece swimsuits with dramatic cut-away sides and back are the only beachwear to be seen in this summer. With plunging necklines and cut-away panels, they’re not only super-sexy but great at giving you a much curvier shape. Take the plunge.

H&M €20, Miss Sixty €60

Climate Project T-shirts

As part of the battle to combat global warming, Al Gore’s charity, Climate Project, has launched a limited-edition collection of celebrity-designed T-shirts. Calling on the skills of fashion darlings Kate Moss, Helena Christensen, Margherita Missoni, Diane von Furstenberg and Marc Jacobs to name a few, the collection will run in association with fashion labels Limited Edition New York and Buddhist Punk. Stretching her design skills even further than her Topshop collection, Kate’s tee features a hand-scrawled ‘Kate woz ere’ on the back and scribbled black daisies on each sleeve. The complete collection is now available to buy at London’s Harvey Nichols and Dover Street Market, Colette in Paris and 10 Corso Como in Milan. With 100% of the proceeds from the T-shirts going to the charity, get yours now. www.theclimateproject.org

SUPERSIZE BAGS

It’s true what they say – size really does matter, especially when it comes to this season’s handbags. Available in rose, silver, gold, copper or black, and over half a metre in size, the Marc Jacobs large quilted tote is the bag of the moment, and it’s flying off the shelves faster than hotcakes. PVC with nylon lining, this is the ideal companion for those girls who need more than their wallet and house keys on a night out. Statement bags have never looked so good or, at €40, been so affordable. www.marcjacobs.com

Cara & Co adds class to Moscow

Following in the footsteps of Colette in Paris, Corso Como 10 in Milan and London’s Dover Street Market, is new concept store Cara & Co. Moscow’s ex-industrial Winzavod district – a hub of artists and bohemians – was the perfect choice for a store that aims to “showcase intellectual fashion at luxe level” in a city fast becoming a hotbed for fashion investors. The store boasts playful touches, such as handbags in giant test tubes, as well as a host of cutting-edge international brands, including Kate Moss-favourite Ksubi.

Most exciting is the jaw-dropping collection of vintage that boasts rare pieces by the likes of Chanel, Lanvin and Gucci. www.caraandco.com
