Jourdan Dunn is the supermodel whose name is on everyone’s lips. Zaha Hadid, the architect behind the Chanel mobile exhibition and designs for the 2012 Olympics, has turned her hand from buildings to footwear with a cutting edge design for Brazilian eco-footwear company Melissa Shoes. Following in the footsteps of collaborations from Vivienne Westwood, Judy Blame and Alexandre Herchcovitch, Hadid’s shoe is a slick architectural sandal that wraps around the ankle – in eight colours.

This September sees Comme des Garcons join forces with H&M to bring its high-end avant-garde designs to the high street. Rei Kawakubo, the hugely influential founder of the Japanese label and famed for her artistry and challenging creations, joins an impressive list of designers who have collaborated with the high-street giant, including Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Viktor & Rolf and Roberto Cavalli.
Rei has designed womenswear and menswear collections, together with a capsule range for children, a unisex fragrance and must-have accessories. Key pieces in the highly anticipated collection include re-interpretations of her oversized, billowing men’s shirts, extra-wide pleated trousers and sculpted coats and cardigans for women.
