For the third year running, Paul Smith and Burton Snowboards combine off-piste
Paul Smith has joined forces with Burton Snowboards for a third time on a 1980s punk rock-inspired collection guaranteed to make you the most stylish man on the slopes. Marrying Burton’s innovative fabric technology and expertise in snow technology with Paul Smith’s passion for bold stripes, the collaboration centres around a limited edition bondage-inspired snowboard jacket available in black rubber or jacquard leopard print, complete with skull-shaped buttons. Other fashion forward pieces include black, white and purple patchwork trimmed T-shirts, neon alpine knits and loudly patterned long johns that promise to keep you as warm as they do chic. www.paulsmith.co.uk, www.burton.com

You’ll have no need to fear a cold snap this winter in one of these luxurious winter duffle coats from Gloverall. The British outerwear manufacturer has been producing its iconic winter coats for more than 50 years and is currently undergoing something of a revival. Last year, the brand collaborated with cult Japanese designer Junya Watanabe on a sell-out navy design with check-print lining and silk sleeves, and this year it’s being stocked by every fashionable boutique out there. Available in a rainbow of colours, complete with real horn toggles and leather detailing, these duffle coats are guaranteed to keep you as snug as a bug in a rug. www.gloverall.com
Fashion and practicality combine for the latest luxury luggage range
Travel in style with an Erdem and Globe-Trotter Massine Sky-print suitcase. The Canadian womenswear designer Erdem Moralioglu has translated his directional floral silk satin prints, which adorned billowing dresses, tulip skirts and pants at his autumn/winter 2009 show at London Fashion Week, to a collection of vanity cases, trolleys and suitcases to celebrate the centenary of British label Globe-Trotter. Bóas Kristjánsson gains praise for his label 8045
German menswear designer Bóas Kristjánsson, 27, is fast making a name for himself with his label 8045, a candy-coloured collection of knitwear and deluxe sportswear. A graduate from Antwerp’s Royal Academy of Arts, he finds his inspiration in travelling, writing, surfing and meditating, and this outdoors influence is seen in his designs’ sculptured shapes, body hugging fabrics and bold colourways. HypoKnitriak, Bóas’s collection of oversized pastel patchwork cardigans, low-back neon playsuits and scoop-neck T-shirts, is already garnering quite a cult following among the fashion pack. We look forward to seeing more from him soon. www.kristjansson-boas.com
