Welcome to the Inflight Magazine of Brussels Airlines
Yay! It’s January, InOut’s absolute favourite month of the whole year! Added to which, we’re in the grip of the worst financial crisis seen since 1992. What to do? Well, you could go to Milan, where the aperitivo culture sees bars loaded up with free food dispensing with the need to buy dinner. We pick three of the thriftiest…
4 Via Giovanni Boccaccio, , www.noonmilano.com
Eat Risotto with prawns and courgettes.
Drink Vodka Sour – vodka, lime and Maracuja.
Save those € Stick around. As well as a bar, there’s a club and a smoking room, so if you stay put, you won’t need to fork out exorbitant entry fees anywhere else.

Pear and Rosemary Martini
Obviously most of us feel like hitting the vodka at this time of year. That’s a given. But if you’re planning to spend the month sunk in alcohol-soaked obscurity, much better to do it with a classy brand of spirit, no? Step forward Belvedere Vodka, preferably served in a Pear and Rosemary Martini.
Bruise 2 sprigs of rosemary in a glass and add a dash of sugar syrup. Pour over two parts Belevdere Vodka, one part pear purée, one part pressed apple juice and a dash of lemon juice.
Shake over ice. Serve garnished with a slice of pear or a sprig of rosemary. www.belvederevodka.com
